Lazio Speed up Talks With Juve Target Zaccagni

March could be the decisive month for Mattia Zaccagni as Lazio look to speed up contract renewal negotiations.

The 28-year-old Italian winger has entered the last 18 months of his contract in the Italian capital, attracting the attention of Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli ahead of the summer transfer window.

Zaccagni has been one of the most important players in Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio squad since his initial arrival from Hellas Verona back in August 2021. His form has struggled a little this season, managing just four goals and providing one assist across 27 total matches.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio are looking to lock down Zaccagni to a new long-term contract amidst the interest from Juventus and are working to try and iron out an agreement in March, wanting to tie everything up before the start of the transfer market season.

The idea is to hand the 28-year-old winger a significant salary bump and extend his stay to June 2028. Talks between the two parties are ongoing and concrete updates are expected in the coming weeks.
