Inter have reportedly started to explore a move for Lazio talisman Ciro Immobile ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 34-year-old Italian striker has failed to impress with the Biancocelesti this season and his poor form has caused relations to fracture with the fans. This week, a group verbally assaulted him in front of his family in the streets of Rome.
Immobile again disappointed in Lazio’s win over Frosinone, failing to score whilst his replacement Valentin Castellanos scored a decisive brace to drive the team to a much-needed victory, further increasing the pressure on the captain.
Tuttosport (via TMW) details how Marco Sommella, the agent of Immobile, met with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio in a hotel in Madrid on Wednesday, discussing the possible idea of a switch in the summer.
The 34-year-old striker could decide to push through a move to the Nerazzurri, linking back up with Simone Inzaghi and Francesco Acerbi.
Inter are looking to pick up a new striker in the summer as they prepare to compete on multiple fronts, including the Champions League and Club World Cup.
