Ivan Provedel is continuing his recovery at Formello and hopes are high that he’ll be fit to return in around a month.

The 30-year-old Italian shot stopper, who has been one of the best in the squad since his initial arrival in August 2022, suffered a painful ankle injury in the closing minutes of the 3-2 loss to Udinese on 11th March, an injury that’s forced him to the sidelines for over a month.

22-year-old unknown Christos Mandas filled in for Provedel in the 3-2 win over Frosinone and it’s still unclear which option new Lazio coach Igor Tudor will choose to temporarily fill the goalkeeper’s boots, with Luigi Sepe also available.

Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) details how Provedel is doing well in his recovery and is now targeting the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals between Lazio and Juventus, scheduled for 23rd April.

The 30-year-old Italian goalkeeper has kept 13 clean sheets and conceded 44 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions this season.
