Lazio Eye Move for Unhappy Union Berlin Wing Back Gosens

Lazio are considering joining the race for wing back Robin Gosens, who has asked Union Berlin for a transfer in the summer.

The 29-year-old joined the Bundesliga outfit from Inter last summer, signing a five-year deal, but he’s struggled to show his best amidst the club’s miserable form this season. Despite that, he’s still managed to score six goals and provide one assist across 23 league matches.

Lazio are preparing for an important summer transfer window following the arrival of new head coach Igor Tudor, planning to shake up the squad a little as they look to kickstart a new era in the Italian capital.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Gosens has asked to leave Union Berlin in the summer and he’s open to a return to Serie A, having fond memories of his spells at Atalanta and Inter. Bologna and Torino are both keen on the German wing back, and now Lazio have started considering a possible move in the summer.

The 29-year-old, who is contracted to the Bundesliga club to June 2028, impressed during his time in the Italian topflight, scoring 28 goals and providing 19 assists across 160 matches.
