Igor Tudor is ready for his first match at the helm of Lazio, hosting a wounded Juventus in their Saturday evening clash.
The match between the Biancocelesti and the Bianconeri kicks off at 18.00 local time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
When these two teams met back in September, Juventus cruised to a 3-1 win over Lazio in Turin after strikes from Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa, with Luis Alberto netting the Biancocelesti’s consolation goal.
Lazio Team News, Injuries, Suspensions & Probable Lineup
Injuries & Suspensions
Lazio cannot count on the injured Ivan Provedel and Luca Pellegrini is unavailable due to a yellow-card suspension and trained separately from the main group; the same with Nicolo Rovella, who is still struggling from pubalgia.
Manuel Lazzari and Luis Alberto’s participation in the match are also uncertain due to muscle strains. The Spanish midfielder did not participate in the final training drills, raising concerns about his availability. While not officially ruled out yet, the team is exploring alternative options in case he can’t play. Felipe Anderson, Pedro, and Kamada are being considered as potential replacements at the trequartista role should he not be able to start.
Probable Lineup
In goal, Igor Tudor will hand Mandas his third consecutive start after the Coppa Italia derby and the Frosinone match. The backline is likely to feature Casale, Romagnoli, and Gila.
The midfield pairing of Guendouzi and Vecino is the frontrunner, although Cataldi and Kamada are pushing for inclusion, offering versatility in both midfield and attacking roles. Marusic and Felipe Anderson are likely to play on the right and left flanks, respectively.
In attack, Immobile remains the favoured choice at striker, with Castellanos as the backup option.
Lazio (3-4-2-1): Mandas; Gila, Romagnoli, Casale; Felipe Anderson, Guendouzi, Vecino, Marusic; Zaccagni, Luis Alberto; Immobile.
