However, the outcome was strikingly different last night, with the Old Lady coming away with a two-goal cushion in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.
Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic both scored in the second half to give the black-and-white crowds at the Allianz Stadium something to cheer about.
As for the Biancocelesti, they will have a mountain to climb in the second leg following a disappointing showing in Turin.
Therefore, the major Italian news outlets have criticized the performances of some of Lazio’s most experienced stars, particularly Ciro Immobile, Luis Alberto and Alessio Romangnoli.
The trio mostly earned 5/10 grades, while Nicolo Casale received under-par notes after replacing Patric at halftime. The latter was the best performer among Tudor’s ranks, with one of the sources handing him a 6.5/10 grade.
