Immobile Decides Lazio Future Ahead of Summer Transfer Window

Lazio captain Ciro Immobile reportedly has clear ideas regarding his future ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 34-year-old Italian striker has not had an easy season in the capital this term, netting just six goals in 1504 minutes of action across 27 appearances, a disappointing haul for a player who has been one of the most prolific forwards in Italy in recent years.

Immobile has started to be seriously questioned by a large portion of the Lazio fanbase, with some now believing that it’s time for the veteran striker to have a reduced role in order to allow Valentin Castellanos to become the starter. The Argentine forward has scored four goals this season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Immobile has decided to prioritise a stay with Lazio ahead of the transfer window, wanting to see out his contract lasting to June 2026. The only possible temptations for now would be Inter or a rich offer from Saudi Arabia.

The 34-year-old will now focus on trying to adapt to Igor Tudor’s new system in the Italian capital, keen to prove himself to his fans once again.
