Lazio are concerned by the physical conditions of their stars Ciro Immobile and Alessio Romagnoli who may have picked up injuries in the Derby della Capitale.

The Biancocelesti are coming off a defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Roma on Saturday. The controversial Gianluca Mancini headed home the opener in the 42nd minute, and it proved to be the solitary difference between the two sides.

As if falling short in the most prestigious fixture of the season wasn’t enough for Igor Tudor’s side, the Derby also took its all on the Lazio squad, with two key players potentially out with injuries. Immobile and Romagnoli both left the pitch at the interval after picking up knocks, leaving their places to Taty Castellanos and Patric.

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Tudor is left sweating over the Italian duo’s conditions. Immobile sustained a blow to the side of the knee while Romagnoli suffered a strain in the calf. The Lazio manager will be hoping that their conditions improve before Friday’s Serie A fixture against Salernitana.

However, the Lazio Space X account believes that both players risk two to four weeks out of action. Therefore, Castellanos is the favorite to start against the struggling Granata, thus replacing the club captain.

In addition to Immobile and Romangoli, another three players missed Monday’s training session at Formello. They are goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, wingback Manuel Lazzari and winger Mattia Zaccagni who remain on the sidelines.
