The agent of Ciro Immobile reveals the striker’s intent to remain at Lazio beyond the current campaign, but leaves the door open for an exit. The Italian is enduring a forgettable season with his scoring stats plummetting. Yet, he remains eager to make amends next term.
The 34-year-old has been plying his trade in the Italian capital since 2016, establishing himself as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer. His contract with the Biancocelesti is valid until June 2026. Yet, his dipping form sparked rumors of a potential divorce in the summer.
However, Immobile’s agent Alessandro Moggi insists the bomber is eager to remain at Lazio. Speaking to Sport Mediaset (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the player’s representative also highlighted his client’s status as a club legend.
Ciro represents the history of Lazio. He’s the club captain. He is doing well in Rome but it is clear that many situations can arise during the season and at the end of it.
So despite the player’s intention to stay at Lazio, Moggi admitted there’s a chance he could leave the club depending on circumstances.
Immobile’s will is to stay in Rome and continue to don the Lazio shirt. This is something that he has demonstrated over the years. But then again, other options can still arise in the transfer market.
This season, the former Juventus and Dortmund striker has so far scored ten goals and provided one assist in 38 appearances across all competitions.
