Reports from Spain suggest that Real Madrid could look to bring back Lazio defender Mario Gila in the Summer.
The 23-year-old Spanish defender joined the Biancocelesti from Los Blancos back in July 2022 in a deal worth around €6m, plus a 50% future resale clause and a buy-back option. After a slow start, he has grown into an important player in the Italian capital.
Gila has seen over 2082 minutes of action across 24 appearances with Lazio this season, proving himself a talented and growing defender. He has started both league games under new coach Igor Tudor, partnering up with Alessio Romagnoli and Nicolo Casale in a three-man backline.
As reported by Estadio Deportivo (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Real Madrid are thinking about activating the buy-back clause and bringing back Gila in the summer, appreciating his growth with Lazio. They could bring him back and immediately look to sell him on for a quick profit.
The final decision will be up to the 23-year-old, who has previously mentioned his desire to break into the squad in the Spanish capital in the past.
