Four Lazio Players Who Could Be Central to Igor Tudor’s Project

Igor Tudor is gearing up to revolutionize things at Lazio this summer and four players seem perfect to be pillars of the new era.

The Biancocelesti are widely expected to make some sweeping changes in the summer transfer window, needing to shake things up following the end of Maurizio Sarri’s time in charge. Some first-team regulars like Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto could depart, making space for new blood.

Whilst it’s clear that Lazio need to shake off the shackles of the past to move forward into a new age with Tudor, four players in particular could form the perfect foundation for a rejuvenated project in the Italian capital. However, before then, several online bookmakers with fast registration offer great odds on the next Lazio game, and you should be sure to check them out to place bets on it. Four Lazio Players for the New Project

1 – Valentin Castellanos

Castellanos seems an obvious option to become a new pillar in the dressing room; the 25-year-old has shown a number of positives in his debut season in the Italian capital, scoring four goals and providing five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.

With Immobile on the decline and possibly out the door this summer, Castellanos deserves the chance to be given a starting role up front, letting him show his best with consistent playing time next season.

2 – Gustav Isaksen

Things started slowly for Isaksen this term but he’s started to impress in the second half of this season, clearly ready to take over from the Juventus-bound Felipe Anderson. The 22-year-old has a lengthy contract in the capital and his market value can only rise in the coming years.

The Danish winger took some time to adapt to Sarri’s system, but he did eventually manage, so he’ll likely be fine learning the new ways of Tudor as well.

3 – Nicolo Rovella

Whilst an injury has kept Rovella sidelined for the last few months, it only seems like a matter of time until he starts to impress under Tudor, able to shine in a three or four-man midfield. He’s already taken Danilo Cataldi’s starting spot and next season would be the perfect time to confirm that.

The 22-year-old Italian midfielder is an emerging talent who’ll likely break into the Azzurri senior squad in the coming years, making him a strong option for the Biancocelesti’s new project.

4 – Nicolo Casale

With Mario Gila looking likely to return to Real Madrid in the near future and rumours continuing to circulate regarding Alessio Romagnoli, Lazio need a reliable rock at the back and Casale has already proven his capabilities in the capital, even if he started to slip out of view under Sarri this term.

Tudor has already started to deploy Casale as part of a three-man defence in his first few games and the 26-year-old could be a core part of the squad for years to come at the back.
