Official: Italian Attacker Signs Lazio Contract Extension Until 2029

Lazio attacker Mattia Zaccagni has officially signed a new contract with the club after months of discussions with Agent Mario Giuffredi.

The Italy International has signed with the Biancocelesti until 30 June 2029 and will make €2.8 million per season + bonuses (that will take it to a figure of around €3.4 million per year).

This signing comes as a massive boost, especially considering the official departure of veteran winger Felipe Anderson at the end of the season, and the recent words from Luis Alberto, who also expressed his desire to leave the club in the Summer.

But not only for the aforementioned reasons, also the fact that Juventus were reportedly speaking about bringing the player to Turin this Summer. Various discussions occurred, however, Lazio and Claudio Lotito ultimately pulled the trigger on his requests to keep him situated in Rome.

Below is the club’s official statement on the player’s extension:

S.S. Lazio communicates that the contract of Mattia Zaccagni has been extended until 30 June 2029.

As of April 17, 2024, the 28-year-old has made 112 appearances for Lazio, scoring 20 goals and providing 18 assists.
