Lazio will officially hold a pre-season training camp at Auronzo Di Cadore for the 17th summer in a row, much to the delight of their supporters.

In recent weeks, many feared that the capital side would interrupt this tradition due to some disagreements between the parties, with the deadline to ink the agreement fast approaching. Nevertheless, an accord was eventually reached to extend the collaboration between the Roman club and the Venetian town, as announced by the municipality (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).

The municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, in the person of the mayor Dario Vecelio Galeno, and Media Sport Events, in the person of president Gianni Lacché, after having resolved some technical misunderstandings, declare that they will continue their collaboration for the 17th consecutive year and are ready to host S.S. Lazio in Auronzo di Cadore.

Moreover, Lazio President Claudio Lotito confirmed the news (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), declaring that the club opted to stick with Auronzo in order to give the fans a pleasant experience, even if the club’s training ground in Formello is better equipped to host a pre-season.

We had thought about staying in Formello because our facilities are the best, but in the end we will go to Auronzo for the love of the fans. We must respect the people who he have already booked for some time. I have sorted out the hotel issue, spoke to Mayor Galeno and, as soon as the final details are sorted out, I will present the signed contract.
