Lazio coach Igor Tudor is working on convincing Daichi Kamada to remain in the Italian capital while Crystal Palace are reportedly lurking.

The Japan international earned fame during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt where he played an integral part in the club’s Europa League triumph in 2022. The 27-year-old ended his experience with the German club last summer after seeing out his contract, opting to join Lazio on a free transfer. He signed a one-year contract but has the option to extend it until 2027.

Following a slow start to life in the Italian capital, many had expected Kamada to cut his time at Formello short and embark on a new career chapter next summer. But following Maurizio Sarri’s resignation and the subsequent appointment of Tudor, the midfielder has been enjoying more playing time while being handed a more prominent role.

So according to Il Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Kamada hasn’t decided on his future yet, as he has interest from the Bundesliga and the Premier League, with Crystal Palace emerging as serious admirers. Nevertheless, the source doesn’t rule out a contract extension with Lazio, especially with Tudor keen on maintaining his services.

The Japanese star has one month left to decide whether he wants to leave or tie himself to the Biancocelesti for another three years. This season, the midfielder has made 33 appearances across all competitions, contributing with one goal and two assists.
