Newcastle and West Ham are reportedly among several Europen clubs interested in the services of former Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri.

The 65-year-old has recently left his post at Formello in March after spending almost three years in the Italian capital. Nevertheless, the experienced tactician doesn’t have to worry about a shortage of suitors, as a host of clubs across the Old Continent have emerged as possible destinations.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Sarri has already rejected an approach from Nottingham Forest who wanted him to take over immediately. The Italian tactician has unfortunately suffered two personal tragedies recently, with the latest being the death of his mother Clementina.

Therefore, the former Chelsea, Juventus and Lazio coach isn’t keen on making a swift return, but this hasn’t stopped suitors from trying to lure him in. As Pedulla explains, Sevilla, Newcastle and West Ham have all made contact with the manager and his entourage. Moreover, Benfica have also inquired about the situation.

Nevertheless, Sevilla appear to be the most determined suitor, requesting a meeting with Sarri or whoever represents him. The Andalusians are aware of the manager’s personal issues, so they aren’t pressing him to hand an immediate answer. Pedulla adds that Sarri has always been intrigued about La Liga, so he could relish the opportunity to join the Rojiblancos.

Yet, the Tuscana manager also believes there could be openings in Serie A, potentially at AC Milan, which could be another reason why he isn’t planning to make a hasty decision on his future.
