Another Lazio Star Lands on Juventus Radar

Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada whose future in the Italian capital remains shrouded in mystery.

The Bianconeri have been heavily linked with other Biancocelesti stars this season. For instance, they were supposedly on the cusp of reaching an agreement with Felipe Anderson who eventually preferred a return to Brazil through the gates of Palmeiras. Mattia Zaccagni was yet another Lazio star on the Old Lady’s radar, but his recent contract renewal silenced all exit talks.

But according to Tuttosport (via LazioNews24), Juventus have now turned their attention to Kamada. The Turin-based giants reportedly consider the Japan international an affordable option to bolster their midfield, as he would only cost around €15 million.

The 27-year-old signed Lazio last summer as a free agent after seeing out his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt. Interestingly, he only penned a one-year deal, but he has the option to activate an automatic renewal clause until 2027; he must exercise this option before the end of May.

Kamada found little playing time at the start of the season under Maurizio Sarri, but he has become a regular starter since the appointment of Igor Tudor in March. Therefore, it remains to be seen if the midfielder’s improved status at Formello would prompt him to stay at Lazio and turn down all other suitors.
