Napoli Eye Move for Star Lazio Playmaker to Replace Departing Zielinski

Napoli are looking for a replacement for Piotr Zielinski and have reportedly set their sights on Lazio’s Luis Alberto.

The 31-year-old Spaniard has already announced his intentions to leave the Biancocelesti at the end of this season, something that came as a surprise to the club’s management last month following an honest interview with the press.

Luis Alberto is contracted to Lazio until June 2027 and President Claudio Lotito has already made it clear that he won’t be allowed to leave on a free transfer, forcing interested parties to pay up for his signature. He is expected to cost around €20-30m and a return to Spain has looked likely.

As reported by TMW, Napoli are on the hunt for a new playmaker in the summer, with Zielinski heading off to Inter, and they’ve started considering a move for Luis Alberto, who would seemingly be a good fit for the squad in the Campania capital.

At this stage, much still depends on which coach takes over from Francesco Calzona in the summer, with candidates including Stefano Pioli and Antonio Conte.
