Nicolo Rovella and Luca Pellegrini are among five players tipped to leave Lazio at the end of the season.

Following Maurizio Sarri’s departure and the subsequent appointment of Igor Tudor in March, the playing system underwent drastic changes. While this spelled additional playing time for the likes of Daichi Kamada and Taty Castellanos, others have been left in the dust, as they were deemed inapt to the new manager’s tactics.

Therefore, Corriere dello Sport expects a busy Summer at Formello, with a host of players leaving the club and others coming in to replace them. The source weighs in on every department, revealing who’s likely to stay and who’s heading towards the door.

In defense, Tudor appears satisfied with Alessio Romagnoli, Patric and Mario Gila. As for Nicolo Casale, there remain some doubts over his performances, so the club would consider offers. Moreover, the Biancocelesti will have to buy one or two extra defenders after switching to a three-man defense.

In the middle of the park, Tudor has identified Matteo Guendouzi, Kamada and Matias Vecino as players capable of interpreting his style of football. On the other hand, Rovella and Danilo Cataldi, who acted as Sarri’s deep-lying playmakers, find themselves on the outside.

On the wings, the Croatian manager would be happy to keep Manuel Lazzari and Adam Marusic on the right flank, but Pellegrini and Elseid Hysaj haven’t convinced, so they could join the exodus. The same goes for Gustav Isaksen who hasn’t found much space since Tudor’s arrival.

In attack, Felipe Anderson’s departure is already confirmed as he’ll join Palmeiras on a free transfer. Luis Alberto is shining once more after being deployed in a more advanced role, but his future remains a mystery.

As for Mattia Zaccagni, he’ll be hoping to carve himself a spot in the attacking trident, as he doesn’t fancy a wingback role. Finally, Ciro Immobile and Taty Castellanos are set to stay, while it remains to be seen if Pedro will sign a new contract.

So all in all, the Roman newspaper expects Rovella, Pellegrini, Hysaj, Isaksen and Cataldi to land on the Lazio transfer list.
