Lazio are interested in making a move for Sassuolo’s Josh Doig but have identified two alternatives to the talented Scot.
The Biancocelesti are interested in picking up a new left-back in the upcoming Summer Transfer Window, with Igor Tudor left unconvinced by the work of Elseid Hysaj, who has struggled to show much of note in the Italian capital this term.
Lazio have been interested in Doig for over a year now, initially setting their sights on the Scottish full-back in January 2023, but haven’t tried to make a serious move for the 21-year-old. Whilst Sassuolo’s possible relegation could lower his price tag, the club have started to look around.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) details how Lazio have drawn up a list of interesting alternatives to Doig, as they are serious about signing a new left-back in the Summer; especially if Luca Pellegrini ends up departing as well. The list features Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu and Union Berlin’s Robin Gosens.
For the right side of the pitch, the club are fans of Monza’s Samuele Birindelli and Marseille’s Jonathan Clauss, if Adam Marusic is to leave.
