Lazio director Angelo Fabiani reveals the promise he received from the agent of Daichi Kamada, while also discussing the future of Ciro Immobile.
The 62-year-old had a long interview with Radiosei (via LazioNews24) where he weighed in on several topics related to the club. This includes Kamada’s future which remains uncertain, especially with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old joined the Italian capital side last summer on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt. He signed a one-year contract but has the option to activate an automatic extension until 2027. However, he must exercise it before it expires on May 30th.
Nevertheless, Fabiani expects the Japan international to remain at the club, at least based on what he learned from the player’s agent.
Kamada’s fate is in his own hands. What I understood is that, at the moment, he is very happy to stay. His agent told me he’ll remain 100%. But then again, if they change their mind in the last minute, there’s not much we can do about it.
On another note, the Lazio sporting director insists that club captain Ciro Immobile will stay at the club despite undergoing a difficult campaign.
Ciro has a contract with Lazio for another two years. He is our captain. The striker’s career is filled with ups and downs, but discussing his future is senseless.
