SS Lazio’s 2023-24 season hasn’t been quite as successful as its 2022-23 campaign, which saw the team finish second overall in the Serie A standings. But Lazio sits in 7th place at the moment with one match to go, so the club still has a chance to finish off its season strong.

Lazio’s best players also have an opportunity to add to the spectacular stats they’ve already put together this season. Learn more about a few of the squad’s standout players this season before beginning to look forward to the 2024-25 season and follow Lazio odds and bet on games using platforms like the FanDuel betting app.

Ciro Immobile

The 34-year-old striker has scored just 7 goals during the 2023-24 Serie A season, his lowest season-long scoring output since getting his start with Lazio in 2016. But it should still be enough to make him the Lazio top scorer for the eighth straight season. Immobile also scored one very memorable goal during a 3-1 victory against Cagliari in February 2024. It was his 200th goal with Lazio in Serie A play.

Luis Alberto

The 31-year-old midfielder has scored 5 goals for Lazio during the 2023-24 season, good for third-best on the team. But maybe more importantly, he has also led the team in assists with a team-high 7 assists so far this season. Felipe Anderson, who recently announced that the 2023-24 season will be his last season with Lazio, is the only other player close to Alberto in the category with 6 assists on the season. Alberto has also led Lazio with 56 shots on goal this season, which is five more than the next closest player and 12 more than Immobile.

Alessio Romagnoli

The 29-year-old center-back has been a solid defensive player since joining Lazio in 2022, and that has continued once again throughout the 2023-24 season. Romagnoli leads Lazio in clearances (111), shots blocked (17), and percentage of dribblers tackled (68.2). He has also set the tone for Lazio by racking up a team-high 9 yellow cards. He has a second-best 28 interceptions, too, which further helps explain why several Premier League clubs have reportedly taken an interest in Romagnoli in recent months.

Adam Marušić

The 31-year-old full-back’s best moment of the 2023-24 season may have come in late March when he scored a stoppage-time goal against Juventus to give Lazio a 1-0 victory. But that was his only goal of the Serie A season for Lazio. That doesn’t mean Marušić didn’t play a key role in the team’s success this season, though, as he has led Lazio in touches with 1,985. He also had a team-high 290 dead-ball passes along with 1,477 live-ball passes, second-best behind only Romagnoli. He was responsible for a team-best 272 throw-ins as well.
