Lazio captain Ciro Immobile sent a message to Marco Reus after the winger’s final match for Borussia Dortmund.
The 34-year-old German forward played out his last match for BVB on Saturday, scoring a goal and providing an assist in a 4-0 win over Darmstadt 98, lighting up a packed Westfalenstadion. His contract expires at the end of June and won’t be renewed.
Reus has been with Dortmund since July 2012, having grown up in the city and dreaming of playing for the club. Over the last 12 years, he’s scored 170 goals and provided 131 assists across 428 matches, helping his side win two DFB-Pokal titles and three DFL-Supercup titles.
On his Instagram page, Immobile sent a message of affection to Reus following the winger’s departure from Dortmund, sharing a photo of the 34-year-old alongside a flex, a clap and a blue heart emoji.
The pair spent a single season together at BVB in the 2014-15 campaign before he left for Sevilla.
