Lazio Agree to Sell Star Midfielder to Al-Duhail

Lazio and Al-Duhail have reached a total agreement regarding the sale of Luis Alberto, who’ll complete the move to Qatar in the coming days.

Luis Alberto’s Future With Lazio Comes to An End

The 31-year-old Spanish midfielder has long decided to leave the Biancocelesti in the summer, having grown tired of life in the Italian capital, despite penning a new long-term contract with the club back in October.

Al-Duhail have been seriously interested in Luis Alberto for a few weeks now but have struggled to find common ground with Lazio President Claudio Lotito, who isn’t willing to let the midfielder leave the club for free.

Transfer to Al-Duhail Nearing Its Conclusion

As reported by Matteo Moretto, Lazio have agreed to sell Luis Alberto to Al-Duhail for circa €12 million, €11 million plus add-ons, and documents will be exchanged between the two sides in the coming days.

The 31-year-old midfielder is set to travel to Qatar to complete the move within the next fortnight, allowing the deal to be finalized soon.
