Immobile Makes Definitive Lazio Decision Ahead of Summer

Ciro Immobile has made a clear decision regarding his future with Lazio ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Difficult 2023-24 Campaign

The 34-year-old Italian striker has come under increasing pressure in the capital this season, becoming a figure of ire amongst supporters for his poor form and troubled confidence, struggling to impress under either Maurizio Sarri or Igor Tudor.

Immobile managed just seven goals and one assist across 31 Serie A appearances for Lazio this season, and rumours have linked him with a move away from the club in the summer, leaving his future shrouded in doubt.

Desire to Stay in Rome

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Immobile had an honest discussion with Lazio Sporting Director Angelo Mariano Fabiani recently where he reiterated his desire to stay at the club and make up for his difficult 2023-24 season.

Tudor considers the 34-year-old Italian striker to be a backup option, but the captain wants to prove himself starting from the pre-season training camp. He is keen to overtake Antonio Di Natale and Roberto Baggio in the all-time Serie A top scorer rankings.
