Following his underwhelming experience at Manchester United, Sofyan Amrabat could be heading to Lazio next, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The 27-year-old is a Utrecht youth product who has made a name for himself in Serie A after joining Hellas Verona in 2019. He then signed for Fiorentina shortly afterwards, further cementing his status as one of the finest holding midfielders in Italian football. The Morocco international also earned the plaudits for his impressive displays in the 2022 World Cup.

Therefore, Manchester United secured his signature last summer on a loan deal with an option to buy worth €20 million. But despite ending his campaign with an FA Cup triumph, it was largely a disappointing experience. Therefore, the Red Devils will waive this option, sending the player back to Tuscany.
So as Corriere dello Sport tells it, Lazio have set their sights on Amrabat as they look to bolster their midfield ranks. The Moroccan battling midfielder is the sort of player Igor Tudor is seeking. The player’s salary at Fiorentina is circa €2 million, but he was collected almost double during his time at Old Trafford. So it remains to be seen what his current requests are.
The midfielder’s contract with Fiorentina is only valid until June 2025, so he should be available at a relatively affordable price.
