Lazio have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Hellas Verona left back Juan Cabal ahead of a potential transfer.
The Biancocelesti are working to bolster Marco Baron’s squad in the Italian capital and have identified a new left back as one of their priorities, needing a more reliable option amidst doubts surrounding Elseid Hysaj and Luca Pellegrini.
Lazio have been in close contact with Hellas Verona for a number of works now and are close to finalising a deal worth around €20 million plus add-ons for Cabal, who has three years left on his contract in Veneto.
As reported by Nicolo Schira, Lazio have agreed to the terms of a contract with Cabal, who is now only a step away from completing his transfer from Hellas Verona, allowing the club to focus on other transfer market priorities.
This season, the 23-year-old Colombian left back saw 1503 minutes of action across 22 Serie A appearances for the Gialloblu.

We need two leftfooted leftbacks, so I think it’s good move. Cabal has potential to grow a lot.
Haven’t seen him play, but he can’t be worse than what we have right now. He’s young with a lot of potential.
Each year we are buying a full back, no matter what. Remember Pellegrinini, Kamenovic, Hysaj, Fares, Jony, Durmisi… Such a waste of time and money.
