Lazio Inquire About Promising Inter Transfer Target

Lazio are reportedly keeping tabs on Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson who has been heavily linked with a move to Inter this summer.

The 27-year-old was one of the main breakout stars of the Serie A campaign thanks to his exploits at the Luigi Ferraris. The Iceland international stole the limelight with his dazzling dribbling skills, formidable strikes and wonderful plays, thus earning himself several admires between Italy and abroad.

The second striker has been linked with the likes of Juventus, Roma, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur. But in recent weeks, Inter emerged as the primary candidate to secure his signature. However, the Nerazzurri cannot present an official bid before offloading some of their deadwood, leaving an opening for other suitors to enter the fray.

Lazio Interested in Genoa Star Gudmundsson

So according to Italian football journalist Matteo Moretto, Lazio have inquired about Gudmundsson in the last few hours. The Biancocelesti are reportedly interested in the Icelandic star and would like to understand if a transfer to Formello is feasible.

Genoa have set their price at circa €35 million, but a bidding war could drive the figure up. This would allow the Grifone to register an astronomic capital gain having only spent €1 million to acquire the player’s services from AZ Alkmaar in January 2022.
