Greenwood Chooses Lazio & Awaits Manchester United Response

Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood is reportedly in favour of a transfer to Lazio as the two clubs continue to negotiate a deal.

The 22-year-old managed to put his career and personal life back on track thanks to a positive loan spell at Getafe. However, the Englishman remains an unwelcome figure at Old Trafford, so his parent club is determined to sell him this summer, putting several suitors on alert.

Greenwood Enticed by Lazio Move

But according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Greenwood has identified Lazio as his favourite destination, as he feels well-appreciated by the Biancocelesti who are looking to entrust him with an important role. The winger has thus turned down Olympique Marseille’s attempts to sign him and is hoping that the Italian capital side can secure an agreement with the Red Devils.

Lazio have reportedly made a loan bid with an obligation to buy worth €20 million in addition to a sell-on fee on a future sale. The Serie A side is now waiting for a definitive answer from the Premier League giants who are eager to offload the English star before his contract expires next summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Lazio Space) reported a similar story, adding that Lazio have offered Greenwood a net salary of €3.5 million per year plus €500,000 in bonuses.
