Official: Lazio Sell Raul Moro to Real Valladolid

Lazio have officially sold Raul Moro to Spanish side Real Valladolid, ending his five-year spell attached to the Roman club.

The 21-year-old forward joined the Biancocelesti from Barcelona’s youth system in August 2019 in a deal worth around €6 million, a sign of his potential and talent. He struggled to break into the first team in Rome and bounced around various clubs on loan over the last few years.

Raul Moro made just 20 appearances for the Lazio senior side over the last five years. Last summer, he joined Real Valladolid on a loan deal with a buy option attached, where he impressed with two goals and five assists across 30 league matches.

As confirmed by Real Valladolid, Raul Moro has now officially joined on a definitive transfer from Lazio after his €2.5 million buy option was exercised, ending his five-year spell with the Biancocelesti.

Writing on his Instagram page, the 21-year-old forward sent a message to the Lazio fans, thanking them for his experiences in Italy.

Lazio family, the time has come to say goodbye. First of all, I want to thank you for the trust you have given me and for everything you’ve taught me in these years where I’ve defended this shirt.

It has been an experience which made me grow as a player, but also on a personal level, so I want to thank all of you who were part of this stage of my life. Thanks to my teammates, the technical staff and all the collaborators of the club who worked with me during this period.

However, I don’t want to forget you, the fans, for your support and energy every match. I feel very lucky to have been able to wear these colors and enjoy this great club.
