Lazio have officially signed Fisayo Dele-Bashiru from Hatayspor on a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached.

The Biancocelesti quickly identified the Manchester City youth product as the right option to bolster Marco Baroni’s midfield this summer, needing to add some creativity to the squad following the recent departures of Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson.

Lazio set up a deal with Hatayspor for Dele-Bashiru, agreeing to sign him on a €2 million loan deal with a €4 million obligation to buy clause attached, beating out competition from some other clubs around Europe.

As confirmed, Lazio have now officially signed Dele-Bashiru after pen was put to paper on his four-year contract, reportedly worth around €1.3 million net per season plus add-ons. He underwent his medicals in Rome before signing the deal.

During his single season with the Turkish side, the 23-year-old scored nine goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances, shining in the centre of the pitch.
