Lazio captain Ciro Immobile is hellbent on finalizing his move to Besiktas as soon as possible, even if it means giving up a part of the wages agreed upon.

The Turkish giants have suddenly emerged onto the scene and reached an agreement with the 34-year-old over personal terms. However, they still have to find a solution with the Biancocelseti who are refusing to release their legendary striker for free.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà (via LazioNews24), both the club and Immobile would like to reach a swift solution before the squad departs for the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore, and the most likely outcome will be a divorce after an eight-year collaboration.

Immobile Willing to Make Financial Sacrifice to Finalize Besiktas Transfer

The Transfer Market Guru believes a small transfer fee could be enough to appease Lazio President Claudio Lotito who has agreed to drop his asking price.

Moreover, Pedullà claims Immobile would be willing to lower his wage demands to help push the deal over the line. The Italian has reportedly agreed a two-year contract with Besiktas with a yearly salary of €6 million.

During Tijjani Noslin’s official presentation, Lazio Sporting Director Angelo Fabiani said the club is still waiting for Besiktas to make an official bid which they’ll discuss with Immobile (via Gianluca Di Marzio).

When an official offer arrives at the club, Lazio will discuss it. We’re talking about a player who made Lazio history.

If an official proposal for Ciro arrives today and his will is to leave, the club will take note of it. I am very pragmatic and I only talk about facts. Immobile didn’t ask to leave for free.

I hope Immobile stays at Lazio. If he leaves, we will have to deal with the issue. Today, he is an integral part of Lazio, but we will see what happens in the next few days.

He is among those called up for Auronzo. We will see if anything changes between today and tomorrow.

  1. It’s done. 3 milions… what a joke of a fee. Do we have a replacement? No. Can we get it for 3 milions? Also no. If Lotito wanted to sell him, he should’ve sell him to Saudis for much more last year.
I don’t want to be a bad prophet, but so far it seems Lazio will be battling for top 10 at best.
