Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares has arrived in the Italian capital and is now ready to complete his transfer to Lazio.
The Biancocelesti have been on the lookout for a reinforcement to replace Elseid Hysaj and Luca Pellegrini in Marco Baroni’s new project and identified the 24-year-old Portuguese full-back as the right option to bolster the squad.
Lazio have agreed to sign Tavares from Arsenal on a loan deal with a €6 million obligation to buy clause attached. He’ll put pen to paper on a five-year contract worth around €2 million net per season plus add-ons.
As highlighted by La Lazio Siamo Noi and Lazio Style Channel, Tavares has now landed in Rome and visited Lazio’s Formello training ground, where he ate lunch with Sporting Director Angelo Fabiani. He is now ready to complete his transfer from Arsenal.
The 24-year-old will soon join his teammates at the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore, where preparations are ongoing for the 2024-25 season.
