Saudi side Al-Qadsiah are reportedly interested in making a move for Lazio veteran Pedro in the coming weeks. The 36-year-old Spanish forward has just under 12 months left on his contract with the Biancocelesti and there have been numerous doubts surrounding his future ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The arrival of Loum Tchaouna, Tijjani Noslin, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has further pushed the veteran down the pecking order; especially when already competing with the likes of Mattia Zaccagni and Gustav Isaksen as well.
Pedro struggled for consistent playing time in the 2023-24 campaign with Lazio, seeing 1167 minutes of action across 45 matches under Maurizio Sarri and Igor Tudor. He rejected an offer from Cesc Fabregas’ Como last month but is still considered surplus to requirements in Rome.
Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) details how Saudi side Al-Qadsiah have started exploring a move for Pedro following their unsuccessful attempts to sign Alvaro Morata and Mauro Icardi.
The Biancocelesti are open to a sale and things could take a step forward in the coming weeks, should the talks for the 36-year-old Spanish winger deepen.
Pedro wanted to win a trophy in every country he played. He came to Lazio with possibility to win Copa Italia, but since Inzaghi left that trophy is out of a question. So far it seems that this season will be the worst in a long years. At least squad is looking that way. So Pedro’s mission won’t be successfull. He might as well go.
