Lazio shared a special tribute for Ciro Immobile following his transfer to Besiktas, remembering their former captain fondly.
The 34-year-old Italian striker ended a historic eight-year spell with the Biancocelesti this month when he agreed to join Besiktas on a two-year deal, leaving in a sale worth around €3 million. His departure marked the end of a memorable era in recent club history.
Immobile proved himself a star with Lazio over the last eight years, part of a core that included Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson. He netted 207 goals and provided 54 assists in 340 games for the club since his arrival in 2016.
Lazio shared a tribute to Immobile on their Twitter page, highlighting his various achievements over the last eight years, including his Serie A goal record, three Capocannoniere titles, European Golden Boot and three trophies.
The 34-year-old was a decisive hitman for the Biancocelesti during his time at the club, but his form had begun to struggle in the last two seasons due to fitness issues.
