Cagliari and Parma are the latest clubs to ask after unneeded Lazio forward Matteo Cancellieri, setting up an interesting situation.
The 22-year-old Italian forward has returned to the Biancocelesti this month following his loan spell with Empoli, where he scored four goals and provided three assists across 36 matches, showing a number of positives.
New Lazio coach Marco Baroni is not considering using Cancellieri moving forward, forcing the 22-year-old to look for a new home this summer. Stade Rennais have already been in contact to explore a possible move for the forward.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Cagliari and Parma have now both approached Lazio to understand the margins of a move for Cancellieri this summer.
The Biancocelesti are keen to ship out the 22-year-old forward this summer and developments are expected in the coming weeks. He is contracted to the club until June 2027 and has an estimated market value of around €4-6 million.
Sell him and Isaksen. They don’t fit in Baronis tacticts.
