Sassuolo Winger Agrees Terms With Lazio as Talks Continue

Sassuolo winger Armand Lauriente has agreed to a deal in principle with Lazio and is now waiting for the two parties to set up a transfer.

The Biancocelesti have been looking around for a boost in creativity to their frontline following Luis Alberto’s sale, and were heavily targeting Manchester United exile Mason Greenwood, who ultimately ended up joining Olympique Marseille.

Lazio have now switched focus to alternative targets and one of these is Lauriente, who is available in a low-cost deal following Sassuolo’s relegation to Serie B. The 25-year-old impressed last season, scoring five goals and providing six assists across 37 league matches.

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio have agreed to contract terms with Lauriente following a round of talks, willing to give up a circa €600,000 raise to his current €1 million wages at Sassuolo.

The Biancocelesti now have to reach an agreement with the Neroverdi, who have set a €15 million price tag on the player. The Roman club will make their first offer soon, willing to pay around €11-12 million plus add-ons.

  1. how many wingers do we have now? about 20? i feel we need another striker! i don’t have faith in Castellanos, and another center back wouldn’t hurt..

  2. I like this player, he’s proven his quality in Serie A.

But yes I agree we should be looking for a other striker. Castellanos goes down and we’re left with nothing.

Never understood having only 1 or 2 strikers.
