Experienced striker Joaquin Correa only wants to join Lazio and is pushing to find a way out of Inter in the coming weeks.
The 29-year-old Argentinian forward has returned to the Nerazzurri following another disappointing season, having failed to impress during his time on loan with Olympique Marseille. With one year left on his contract in Milan, the club are keen to close this chapter soon.
Correa has no future in Simone Inzaghi’s Inter squad and his entourage have been exploring the idea of a possible return to Lazio, where he found far more success prior to the move north. He costs the Nerazzurri around €7m on their balance sheets.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Correa could ultimately have his contract with Inter terminated, allowing him to leave on a free transfer. He has received offers from AEK Athens and River Plate but only wants to return to Lazio.
The 29-year-old currently earns around €3.5m net per season plus add-ons and it’s hard to imagine Claudio Lotito offering the same wages in the capital.
