Lazio are considering entering the race for Colombia playmaker James Rodriguez after being approached by his agent Jorge Mendes.

The 33-year-old attacking midfielder is currently a free agent after agreeing to terminate his contract with Sao Paolo and his agents have been working hard trying to set up a return to Europe, offering his services to a number of clubs including the Biancocelesti.

Lazio are on the hunt for a burst of creativity in their squad and have hit a roadblock in their talks with Sassuolo for Armand Lauriente, forcing President Claudio Lotito and Sporting Director Angelo Fabiani to seriously consider their options.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo and AS Colombia (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio are not the only Italian club thinking about a possible move for James Rodriguez, as now Antonio Conte’s Napoli have started considering a deal.

Other clubs interested in the 33-year-old include Real Betis and Celta Vigo, giving the Biancocelesti ample competition should they decide to move forward.
