Lazio have hit a complete stall in talks with Sassuolo and now need to make a clear decision regarding winger Armand Lauriente.
The Biancocelesti have been targeting the 25-year-old Frenchman for days now following their failure to sign Manchester United exile Mason Greenwood, losing out on a deal to Olympique Marseille. The club are keen to add some creativity to Marco Baroni’s frontline.
Lazio and Sassuolo have been in close contact regarding Lauriente and President Claudio Lotito has allocated €10m in the budget for the 25-year-old Frenchman, who has already given the green light for a move to the Italian capital.
Corriere dello Sport (via TMW) highlights how Sassuolo are refusing to offer any discounts on their €15 million price tag on Lauriente, leaving Lazio in a tough spot as they must now decide whether to increase their offer or focus on other targets.
The newly relegated side still have strong economic health and aren’t forced to rush into a sale this summer, giving them a strong foundation for talks with the Biancocelesti.
Would be interesting if Lauriente somehow starts missing training sessions for unknown reasons … otherwise leave him and focus on someone else, the quicker the better.
