Olympique Lyon have set a clear price on Rayan Cherki as Lazio ponder a possible move for the talented French playmaker.
The Biancocelesti are still on the hunt for a burst of creativity following Luis Alberto’s departure, having missed out on Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, and they’ve been in close contact with Sassuolo to try and set up a deal for Armand Lauriente.
Lazio have already picked up five reinforcements in the summer transfer window – Loum Tchaouna, Tijjani Noslin, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Gaetano Castrovilli and Nuno Tavares – and are looking to cut some unneeded players from the squad, like Mohamed Fares and Toma Basic.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via TMW), Lyon want around €20 million for Cherki this summer, a fee considered excessive by Lazio President Claudio Lotito, who is confident that the price will drop in the coming weeks considering that the player has less than a year left on his contract in France.
Last season, the 20-year-old French playmaker scored three goals and provided nine assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.
Dele Bashiru will be the surprise of Serie A. We should focus on someone else, let this Rayan he plays in the farmer league..
