Sassuolo winger Armand Lauriente is still the first name on the Lazio shortlist to bolster the attack, but the gap between the two clubs persists. The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Italian capital for several weeks now, and Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà provides the latest updates on the situation.
As the source explains, the Biancocelesti are still keen to sign the 25-year-old. The club has already found an agreement in principle with the player and his entourage. Lauriente would earn a yearly net salary of €1.5 million. However, the main hurdle remains striking an accord with the Emilian club.
Lazio Seeking Agreement with Sassuolo for Lauriente
Sassuolo are seeking a transfer fee of €15 million in addition to €1 million in bonuses to part ways with their winger. On the other hand, Lazio are only offering circa €11 million. Pedullà thus reveals that the two clubs will hold a meeting in the coming days in an attempt to bridge the gap.
The report also adds that Lauriente is a popular option for the Italian capital club mainly for his ability to play on both flanks. The Frenchman is a right-footed player who has often been deployed as an inverted left winger during his time at Sassuolo. The Rennes youth product joined the Neroverdi in the summer of 2022, and his contract with the club is valid until 2027.
Lotito should seal the deal rapidly, what he’s waiting for.
