The Agents of young Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei have reportedly proposed the player to both Lazio and Atalanta. The 21-year-old is a Cesena youth product who was poached by Inter Milan in 2018. But after making a name for himself in the Primavera league, the Blues snapped up his services in 2022.
The Italy U21 international started the previous campaign on loan at Leicester City, working under the guidance of his compatriot Enzo Maresca. However, Chelsea recalled him in January due to an injury crisis, much to the manager’s dismay. But as fate would have it, Casadei and Maresca found one another once more in West London, but it appears to be a short-lived reunion.
Agents Offer Casadei to Lazio & Atalanta
The midfielder is tipped to leave Stamford Bridge in search of more playing time, and according to Italian journalist Damiano Er Faina, the player’s representatives have offered his services to Lazio and Atalanta. The Agents are now waiting for a response from the two clubs.
The journalist adds that Fiorentina had inquired about Casadei earlier this summer, while Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in the services. So it remains to be seen if Lazio would be intrigued by the opportunity to poach the promising young player, especially since the management has been keen to introduce new blood to Marco Baroni’s squad this summer.
