Barcelona Teenage Striker Identifies Lazio as Preferred Destination

Barcelona youngster Vitor Roque has reportedly given his preference to Lazio in case the Spanish giants decide to offload him this summer.

The Brazilian only arrived at Camp Nou last January when he completed a switch from Athletico Paranaense worth €40 million. But due to the presence of Robert Lewandowski and other top stars, the teenager struggled for playing time with the Blaugrana but still contributed with a couple of goals in his 14 La Liga appearances.

Vitor Roque in Favor of Lazio Transfer

Therefore, Barcelona could opt to part ways with the young striker this summer, but they insist on avoiding a capital loss. Hence, the club would like to recollect the €40 million they splashed for his signature earlier this year.

Naturally, this is an asking price that Lazio cannot afford. However, the Serie A side is still seeking a solution, offering a transfer fee of €20 million in addition to a 50% sell-on fee in case of a future resale.

While these figures might be insufficient to tempt the Catalans, Roque’s will could play an important role in the equation, especially if he decides to push for a move to the Stadio Olimpico. Catalan newspaper Sport (via LazioNews24) claims the 19-year-old would be willing to join the Italian capital side rather than the likes of Porto, Valencia and Real Betis.

    1. Loosing Felipe Anderson, Luis Mago Alberto AND Ciro, not keeping Kamada and now you think Lotito won’t spend €20mil? C’mon he has to. Even if it’s not Roque, the arrival has to be big.
