Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas continues to attract suitors from the Premier League, with Southampton and Wolves reportedly joining the fray.

The 22-year-old joined the Biancocelesti last summer and was supposed to be a backup option, but managed to exceed expectations when he was called upon to fill in the stead of the injured Ivan Provedel during the second half of the season.

But with the Italy international regaining match fitness, Mandas has been dropped to the bench again. Thus, Lazio could be tempted to sell Greek for the right figures.

Mandas to Attract €20M Offer Amidst Southampton & Wolves Interest

The custodian has been linked with Manchester City and Leicester earlier in the summer, and Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) now names Southampton and Wolverhampton as his newest admirers.

The source adds that Lazio Directors may have already discussed the player’s future with the Saints ahead of the recent friendly encounter between the two clubs at St. Marry’s Stadium. The talks could have also included Carlos Alcaraz who has emerged as a transfer target for the Italian capital side.

The Roman newspaper expects an offer in the region of €20 million to arrive for Mandas from the Premier League. This would allow Lazio to register comprehensive capital gains given that they signed the goalkeeper for just €900,000 last summer. The Greek’s contract with the Biancocelesti runs until June 2028.

  1. If you can sell a back up goalkeeper for 20 million euros, you sell him.

I doubt any team is offering that much though.
