Lazio have reached an agreement over personal terms with Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia who is now all set to sign for the club according to multiple sources in the Italian press.

The Biancocelesti have identified the 27-year-old as the right profile to replace former club captain Ciro Immobile and compete for a starting role with Taty Castellanos. Lazio have accelerated their attempts to land the Senegal international over the past days, and have now reached the finish line.

Boulaye Dia All Set to Sign for Lazio

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Dia has now accepted Lazio’s offer. Thus, the signature should arrive in the coming hours. Transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano echoes the same story.

For its part, Il Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) explains that the negotiations between Lazio and Dia weren’t easy, mainly due to agent commissions and the player’s salary. The Roman newspaper expects the former Villarreal man to earn around €2 million per year plus add-ons.

On the other hand, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla draws a different picture, insisting there have never been any major issues in the talks between the parties. He also reveals that Lazio and Salernitana have agreed on a transfer fee worth €11 million.

The striker should be at Marco Baroni’s disposal ahead of the club’s first Serie A fixture of the season. The Biancocelesti kick off their domestic campaign by hosting Venezia at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday at 20:45 CET.
