Lazio have thus far been unsuccessful in their attempts to find new clubs for four unwanted players.
The Biancocelesti are still looking to complete their squad by signing a few more players. The management is on the cusp of signing Boulaye Dia while Michael Folorunsho could follow suit. Yet, the club must also make room for the new arrivals on the squad list.
Lazio managed to send Matteo Cancellieri to Parma on loan with an obligation to buy. But while the young winger had a market, four other outcasts are seemingly less desired, beginning with Elseid Hysaj.
Lazio Struggling to Find New Destinations for Hysaj, Basic, Anderson & Fares
According to Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), there haven’t been many suitors who lunged forward for the experienced Albanian fullback. The 31-year-old was a pupil of Maurizio Sarri but is now deemed surplus to requirements.
As for Toma Basic, he reportedly has three suitors: Empoli, Espanyol, and Basaksehir. However, these clubs are only interested in signing the Croatian midfielder on a dry loan, while Lazio are keen to sell the 27-year-old.
The source also mentions Andre Anderson who attracted the interest of the relegated Salernitana earlier in the summer. However, the Granata then decided to withdraw, leaving the 24-year-old Italo-Brazilian without a clear destination.
The same can be said about Mohamed Fares who has been proposed to Greek side Panserraikos and other Italian clubs but has thus far rejected all destinations, leaving his future shrouded in mystery.
Basic is good..
Let’s give him another chance to prove his worth
To be fair to Basic , Fares is waaay ahead out , than I would say Hisay and even Marusic in the system Baroni seems to adopt (dynamic movement , Adam is too rash and rigid. Even Hisay could likely do better than him sadly. Ot pains me to say this but it is my sad opinion . Inzaghi used him the best and I never thought of needing a replacement at the time. Sergej is most missed by him..
