A swap deal could be brewing between Lazio and Feyenoord Rotterdam involving Gustav Isaksen and Antoni Milambo.
According to Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), the Biancocelesti have set their sights on the 19-year-old midfielder. The teenager is a Netherlands U19 international of Congolese origins. Born and raised in Rotterdam, joining Feyenoord’s youth ranks was almost inevitable for the young starlet.
Lazio Could Exchange Isaksen with Milambo
Milambo has now cemented himself as a regular starter in the club’s first team. He has already contributed with a goal in his first two league appearances this season. The youngster plays as a central midfielder but can also be deployed higher up the pitch.
On the other hand, Isaksen has been on Feyenoord’s wishlist since the start of the summer. There were rumours of a possible exchange with Calvin Stengs, a former Lazio transfer target. However, the deal didn’t materialize, and the 25-year-old has since renewed his contract with the Dutch club.
As for Isaksen, he remains part of Marco Baroni’s plans at Lazio but doesn’t appear to be in the running for a starting spot, at least not at this stage of the season. Hence, the Biancocelesti could be willing to dispatch him for the right offer.
Lazio are reportedly seeking €15 million to part ways with the 23-year-old Dane.
