Unhappy Long-Term Lazio Midfielder Being Followed By Torino & Como

Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi has been reportedly offered to Torino, while Como are also interested in securing his services.

The 30-year-old is a Biancocelesti youth product who has been on the club’s books since the start of his playing career. He only left the capital side on loan spells with Crotone, Genoa and Benevento, but he’s been a stalwart at Formello since 2018.

However, the recent debacle over the captaincy took its toll on his rapport with the club. While several senior members of the club backed Cataldi to inherit the armband following Ciro Immobile’s departure, the hierarchy favoured Mattia Zaccagni. The midfielder reportedly found the decision hard to swallow and has been cutting a frustrated figure ever since.

Torino Offer Cataldi Two-Year Deal

According to Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), the 30-year-old could soon be on his way out of the Italian capital, as he’s been offered to Torino who have proposed a two-year contract. Moreover, the source claims Como are also in the fray, as they would like to lure the experienced midfielder to Lombardia.

The report expects some interesting developments on this front between now and the end of the summer transfer session. Cataldi’s contract with Lazio is valid until June 2027. He was an unused substitute in the club’s opening Serie A fixture against Venezia, hinting at a low position on Marco Baroni’s pecking order.
