Lazio kicked off their Europa League campaign with a convincing 3-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in Hamburg.

First Half: Dynamo Kyiv 0-3 Lazio

Marco Baroni made eight changes to the starting lineup that fell short against Fiorentina last Sunday. Boulaye Dia led the line supported by Loum Tchaouna, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Pedro. The Senegalese striker swiftly broke the deadlock with a clever movement and a clinical touch, pouncing on a cheeky assist from Pedro.

The Biancocelesti doubled their lead in the 33rd minute when Matias Vecino picked up Dele-Bashiru with a fabulous through ball. The Nigerian latched onto it, sending an unstoppable shot towards the top corner.

Just two minutes later, the attacking midfielder played provider, picking up his teammate with a sublime cross from the right side that was directed home by a sharp header from the former Salernitana man.

Thanks to their healthy three-goal cushion, Lazio were able to enjoy a quiet second period. But the encounter still witnessed some action, as Maksym Braharu was shown a red card in the 72nd minute following a VAR review for a stomp on Mattia Zaccagni, leaving the Ukrainian giants with a man down.

Nevertheless, Tijjani Noslin restored the balance by earning his marching orders for elbowing Vladyslav Dubinchak just three minutes after his introduction. Regardless of this incident, Lazio marched towards a confident victory that could be taken as a good omen for a promising European campaign.
