Lazio Attacker Celebrates First Goal for the Club: ”I Wanted to Redeem Myself”

Lazio striker Tijjani Noslin considers his goal against Torino as a fitting redemption for his disastrous cameo in midweek.

The Dutchman got himself sent off just three minutes following his introduction in the Europa League contest against Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday. Nevertheless, the 24-year-old atoned himself by scoring what turned out to be the winner against the Granata on Sunday’s early Serie A kickoff.

The Biancocelesti were already leading 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino when Tijjani came on for Taty Castellanos in the final minute of normal time. And just seconds following his entry, he pounced on a scramble inside the box to score his maiden goal for Lazio, thus securing a vital win for the visitors despite Saul Coco’s late strike.

Noslin Breaks His Duck for Lazio

In his post-match interview with DAZN (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the striker expressed his delight with his memorable cameo and the team’s first Serie A win on the road, while thanking Marco Baroni for giving him the opportunity to redeem himself.

I’m very happy with the goal. We played a good game, I thank the coach for believing in me and allow me to play, even for a few minutes, I wanted to redeem myself after Wednesday. The important thing is that Lazio won but I’m working to help the team. I dedicate this goal to myself.
